You can set Processing Time on services to enable clients to book appointments during downtimes between existing appointments. With Processing Time, you can effectively manage downtime, maintain organization, and increase your bookings.
How to: Set Processing Time on a Service
Login to your Online Portal
- Click Services in the side menu
- Click on the service you want to set Processing Time on
- Toggle ON "Processing time" to set your Processing Time rules

Set the hours or minutes that the Processing Time should begin after the service begins
- For example: If Balayage is a 3 hour service, and it takes 45 minutes to apply the color, set this to 45 minutes

Set the hours or minutes that the Processing Time should last
- For example: If Balayage is a 3 hour service, and it takes the color 1 hour to develop, set this to 1 hour
- Click Update to save your changes
Important to note: Once Processing Time has been set on a service, it will apply to all new appointments booked moving forward, but it will not apply to existing appointments.
How to: Set Custom Processing Time for Staff on a Service
Login to your Online Portal
- Click Services in the side menu
- Click on the service you want to set Custom Processing Time for a Staff on
- Scroll down to the Resources (Staff or Equipment Assigned) tab

For the Staff you wish to set Custom Processing Time, set the Custom Processing Start Time in minutes
- Custom Processing Start Time is when the Processing Time should begin after the service begins. For example: If Balayage is a 3 hour service, and the Processing Time is set to 45 minutes but it takes the stylist 30 minutes to apply the color, set this to 30 minutes

For the Staff you wish to set Custom Processing Time, set the Custom Processing Time in minutes
- Custom Processing Time is how long the Processing Time should last. For example: If Balayage is a 3 hour service, and the Processing Time is set to 1 hour but the stylist wants 50 minutes for the color to develop, set this to 50 minutes
- Click Update to save your changes
Important to note: Once Processing Time has been set on a service, it will apply to all new appointments booked moving forward, but it will not apply to existing appointments.
How to: Set Custom Processing Time for Staff on a Staff Profile
Login to your Online Portal
- Click Staff in the side menu
- Click on the staff you want to set Custom Processing Time on
- Scroll down to the Assigned Services table

For the service you wish to set Custom Processing Time, set the Custom Processing Start Time in minutes
