A deposit in Cojilio is collected in full upon booking, so when a customer books online and pays a $50 deposit, it is not a hold or authorization – It is a payment.
If you believe that appointments will be rejected or cancelled, and you do not want to have to deal with processing refunds for these deposits, you can remove the deposit and instead implement “card required on file to book”. This way, every service that a client books requires a card on file, but no payment is required. If they no-show, you can charge the card the no-show fee.

You can use Option #1 above, and also go into the clients cart, add a $50 deposit charge in the “Additional Items” section and charge their saved card on file for the “Deposit” product.
