You can create custom breaks or recurring scheduled breaks into an employees' schedule by creating Blocked Slots with a description. For example, "15-minute break" or "lunch break"
How to: Create a Blocked Slot
Login to your Online Calendar
- Click on the time you wish to block the slot for
- Click "Block Availability" to create a blocked slot or recurring blocked slot
- Choose the starting time and end time
- Example: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Optional: Enter a description for the blocked slot
- Example: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
- Click Block Availability to save & create the blocked slot
- The blocked slot will now appear in your Online Calendar in Week View and Day View
Key Details about Blocked Slots:
- Clients will not be able to book with you during this blocked slot unless it is deleted.
- You will be able to book an appointment over a blocked slot by using "Override Booking"
How to: Create a Recurring Blocked Slot
Recurring Blocked Slot: Need to block a recurring slot, for example every Friday from 1-2 PM? Well now you can! Select "Recurring Blocked Slot" to repeat the blocked slot for as long as you need.
Login to your Online Calendar
- Click on the time you wish to block the slot for
- Click "Block Availability" to create a blocked slot or recurring blocked slot
- Select the radio button for Recurring Blocked Slot
- Select the start and end date for this blocked slot
- Example: May 24th to June 15th
- Choose the start and end time
- Example: 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM
- Choose what day you want this blocked slot to recur on
- Example: Every Monday
- Optional: Enter your description
- Example: "Meeting days"
- Click Block Availability to save & create the recurring blocked slot
- The blocked slot will now appear in your Online Calendar in Week View and Day View
